Sucker Rods

Sucker Rods

Sucker rods are the main load-bearing elements of rod pump systems, transferring the motion of the surface pumping unit to the downhole pump. Since rods are subjected to constant tension, compression, torsion and fatigue loads during oil production, they are manufactured from special alloy steels with high strength.

The reliability of the rod string directly affects well productivity, equipment service life and operating costs. Therefore, modern rods undergo special heat treatment and have high strength and fatigue resistance indicators.

Rods manufactured in compliance with API Spec 11B standards are available in various diameters and strength grades. Specially coated and corrosion-resistant designs are also available for corrosive environments.

Rods used in modern oil fields ensure long-term operation under high dynamic loads and enable uninterrupted well operation.
